PDFsam is a software/downloadable app used for PDF editing.
Environment
Windows or Mac operating system.
Steps
Step 1.
On your computer go to https://pdfsam.org/downloads/ and download and install the version needed for your computer.
Step 2.
Open the application. You will have the option to split, merge, rotate, extract, split by size, split by bookmarks or alternate mix. Choose the one you want to do with your PDF.
Split
To split a PDF document at the given pages click Split. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to split. Set your split settings, your output settings and name the new file, then press Run. Your PDF document is now split and saved in the location that you set.
Rotate
To rotate the pages of a PDF document click Rotate. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to rotate. Set your rotate settings, your output settings and name the new file, then press Run. Your new PDF document is now saved in the location you set.
Merge
To merge multiple PDF documents together click Merge. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to merge. Set your merge settings and your destination file, then press Run. Your PDF document is now merged with another and saved.
Alternate Mix
To merge two or more PDF documents, taking pages alternately in natural or reverse order click Alternate Mix. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to merge, set your destination file, then press Run. Your PDF documents are now merged and saved.
Extract
To extract pages from PDF documents click Extract. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to change. Set your extract settings, your output settings and name the file, then press Run. Your PDF document is now merged with another and saved.
Split by Bookmarks
To split a PDF document at bookmarked pages by specifying a bookmark level click Split by bookmarks. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to split. Set your split settings, your output settings and name the file, then press Run. Your PDF document is now split and saved.
Split by Size
To split a PDF document in files of the given size click Split by size. Select or drag and drop the PDF document that you want to split. Set your split settings, your output setting and name the file, then press Run. Your PDF document is now merged with another and saved.
