PDF vs. Google Forms

PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format that has captured all the elements of a printed document as an electronic image that you can view, navigate, print, or forward to someone else. PDF files are created using Adobe Acrobat , Acrobat Capture, or similar products.

Fillable forms are versions of frequently used and/or modified documents that are available in electronic format for easy editing. An example of a fillable form is Google Forms.

Google Forms is a tool that allows collecting information from users through a personalized survey or quiz. The information is collected and automatically inserted onto a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is populated with the survey and quiz responses.

Google Forms is best used when needing to send a fillable form to many people.

Hint: (In most cases if you need a form to be filled out, Google Forms is usually the right way to go. It is rare where you would want to use a filllable PDF due to its shortcomings as it does not have the ability to easily collect that data and it is not easily accessible on mobile platforms.)
