Google Docs.

How to insert an in text citation

Step 1.

In the text of your document, place your cursor where you want the citation to appear.
In the Citations sidebar, hover over the source you want to cite. A cite button will appear on the side of the citation source, click Cite.

 

Step 2.

If a “#” appears in the text of your document, delete it or replace it with the page number for your citation.

 

How to edit a citation source

Step 1.

In the citation sidebar, hover over the source you want to edit. A menu button will appear on the side. Click Menu and then click Edit

 

Step 2.

Edit your source information and click Save source.

 

How to delete a citation source

Step 1.

In the citation sidebar, hover over the source you want to delete. Click Menu and then click Delete.
