This article reviews how to install and configure Open VPN for Mac OS.

Environment

Steps

• Download Open VPN for Mac OS.
• Once downloaded, open the installer.
• Make sure to select the correct installer. If you are not sure, stop now and contact ITS (its@manhattan.edu or 718-862-8933). 
  • The options are Mac with Intel Processor or Mac with Apple Silicon chip.
  • Double click to start.

• Click Continue

• Click Continue

• Click Agree

• Click Continue

• Click Install

• Approve install

• Click Close

• Click Move to Trash

• Navigate to your application and run Open VPN Connect.
• Click UPLOAD FILE

• You can drag and drop the file you received from ITS or click browse to find the file. 

• Enter your Username and choose whether or not you wish to save the password. Then cick CONNECT.

• Going forward you can toggle VPN on and off by using the toggle at the top.
