In this article, we will review how to make a pre-populated drop down list in Excel on the web.
Environment
Excel on the web in a desktop browser.
Steps
- Open your Excel file on the web version of Excel.
- Select the column where you would like the drop down menu to reside by clicking its corresponding letter at the top.
- Click the data tab and then in the ribbon, click Data Validation.
- Select List from the drop down.
- Enter your choices separated by commas in the Source area, and click Apply, when done.
- Your drop down list has been created.
