  • SOURCE SELECTION - Hint: It may take several seconds for the input to switch. Select a source to be displayed and the projector will turn on. The projector screen will automatically raise and lower. There is no need for a remote. 
  • VGA- Select this after connecting a laptop to the VGA cable provided.
    Hint: Carefully connect the VGA cable end to your laptop. The many pins on the inside of the connector may become bent so check for damage. A VGA connection must be used with an audio jack for sound to work.
  • HDMI - Select this after connecting a laptop to the HDMI cable provided. This connection       provides both video and audio.

  • MULTIHEAD DONGLE - Select this to connect to the MULTIHEAD dongle found at the podium. This connection allows for a Mini Display port connection, Display port connection, HDMI connection, and a USB-C connection.

  • AIRPLAY - This button allows you to connect to the projector via Airplay.

  • VOLUME - Use the touch volume buttons to raise and lower the projector’s speaker volume. There is no need for a remote.

    Hint: The volume must also be raised on the video player (i.e. YouTube) and device (i.e. PC, tablet) you’re using. You can also   adjust the volume using the physical Volume buttons on the opposite side.
  • SYSTEM OFF - This button shuts off the projector. Note that there are no buttons that lower and raise the projector screen. Selecting system off will automatically raise the projector screen.

    Hint: The projector may take up to 2 minutes to warm up before use and 5-10 minutes to cool down before turning on again.
  • DISPLAY MUTE - This button allows you to mute whatever is displaying on the projector. This may have been left on by the person using the projector before you and would need to be pressed again to enable the display. It may take several seconds for the image to reappear after unmuting.

  • AUDIO MUTE - Select this button to mute the audio of the projection. This may have been left on by the person using the projector before you and would need to be pressed again to enable the audio.

  • Wireless Microphone - Contact the Circulation Desk on the 5th floor of O’Malley Library if you would like to borrow a wireless microphone. 718-862-7843
