What is a Duo Hardware Token and Where To Get One

Hint: Remember that ITS will only provide a Duo Hardware Token if you do not have a college issued compatible device.

What is a Duo Hardware Token?

A Duo Hardware Token is a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) device made by Duo that can be used to support MFA password authentication. You can use it to generate a passcode to authenticate access to your account. It should be noted that this is the only other option for MFA should you be unwilling to use your cell phone and you do not have a Manhattan College owned device.

A Duo Hardware Token is shown on a keyboard. It it a similar size to a USB drive and contains a small screen depicting a 6 digit pass code.

If you have questions on how to set up Duo for MFA please reference this MFA knowledge base article
