Setting up Duo for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

About

Duo is a multi-factor authentication (MFA) tool for protecting Manhattan College services such as Banner, Argos, Workflow, and more. It works by using a second source of validation, like a phone or token, to verify user identity before granting access. This increases security as it requires an additional but quick step geared to authenticate the log in attempt by notifying your mobile device.

What is MFA?

To get started, you must first request to opt into Duo for MFA by creating a ticket to ITS using this request service in the Service Catalog, or by sending an email to its@manhattan.edu.

Hint: After setting up a Duo Account, you will need to wait 10 minutes for it to sync.

Environment

Duo works on both iOS/Android mobile devices.

Steps

Hint: Please note that your device must have the latest operating system. You will be required to update your OS to use the app if it is out of date.
