How To Check the View/Share History of Your Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

About

Within a Google, Doc, Sheets, or Slides (etc) file you can check who've you shared it with as well as see all of those who have viewed and it when they last viewed it. 

Environment

Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Hint: Please note this feature will only be present while you are logged into your @manhattan.edu account. 

 

Steps

1. Open the file you which you view the history of. 
 

2. In the top right ,of the screen select the  arrow

3. From here a window will appear showing you a list of people who you have shared it and the last time it was viewed by them.

Please note: you have only shared the document with someone if you have clicked on the blue Share button at the top right of the screen and typed in the names of those you would like to be able to view, edit, or comment. You need to click to send in order for them to gain access to the document for you to be able to view the sharing and editing history.

4. Then a window will appear regarding info about share history, owner history, etc.
