Accidentally Deleted Sharepoint Home Page and Can No Longer Access the Site

Issue

If you are no longer able to access your Sharepoint site, it is possible that the Home page was deleted accidentally.

Environment

Microsoft Sharepoint on a desktop browser.

Resolution

Navigate to: https://manhattan0.sharepoint.com/sites/RichTest2/SitePages/Forms/ByAuthor.aspx

Hint: (Make sure to replace "RichTest2" in the url above with your sharepoint site name.)

This will bring you to the pages section of your site.
Click +New.
Click Site Page.

At the top left, click Page and name the site Home.
Click Save and close.
You will now be able to access your site as before.
