In this article we will review how to set your vacation responder in Outlook on the Web.
Environment
Outlook on the Web in a desktop browser.
Steps
- Click on the gear at the top right of the screen.


- On the left side menu, click Account.
- In the menu that comes up to the right, click Automatic replies.
- Toggle on automatic replies.
- Set the duration of the auto reply. If you do not specify a time period, the auto reply will remain on indefinitely.
- Note that there are separate messages for inside and outside your organization. Even if using the same message you must copy the same message into the area for outside your organization.
- Make sure to check mark Send replies outside your organization if you wish to send those contacts a message as well.
- You have the option to only send to those in your contact list for outside your organization if you so choose.
- Make sure to Save when done at the bottom.
