This article reviews how to make a shortcut to a website on your Mac OS desktop.

Steps
All you need to do is highlight the whole URL and then drag it and drop it on the desktop.
Make sure you can see the desktop so you may need to make the website window a bit smaller so you can see even just a sliver of your desktop.
