How to Scan Files to One Drive Using Your Phone

This article explains how to scan files to your One Drive using your phone.

Environment

One Drive app on Android of iOS

Steps

  • The screen shots in this article are from the Android app, but the iOS app should be similar.

  • At the bottom of your One Drive App, look for the + and click it.

  • Click the Scan button.

  • You may be prompted to accept permissions. You will want to select While using the app.

  • Choose the type of scan at the bottom and then click the roundish camera button.

  • Scan type options:

    • Whiteboard

    • Scan

    • Business Card

    • Photo

  • You have some quick edit options on the right side.

  • You can scan a new page at the bottom.

  • When done, click Review and Edit.

  • Options for editing are

    • Crop

    • Ink

    • Text

    • Rotate

    • Delete

  • You can use filters if needed. Filters can provide a cleaner or different look that may be desired. Filters will take different effects on different types of items scanned. Filter options include:

    • Photo
    • Mono
    • Lomoish
    • Poster
    • Process
    • Vignette
    • Negative
    • Sephia
    • Grain
    • Document
    • Lighten
    • B&W
    • Grayscale
    • Whiteboard
  • You can + Add a new page if needed.

  • Click Finish at the bottom when done.

  • Select where you want to save the file.

  • Click the check mark when done.
