Issue
You are not receiving Teams chat notifications in your browser.
Environment
Microsoft Teams in a desktop browser.
Resolution
Chrome
- Navigate to Microsoft Teams as you normally would.
- Click the switches icon at the top left of your URL.
- Click Site Settings.
- Make sure to set Notifications and Sound to Allow.
Edge
- Click the lock icon to the left of the URL.
- Click permissions for this site.
- Set notifications to Allow.
Hint: (It is not recommended to turn on desktop notifications for Windows.)
