Accessing with a New York Public Library Card

About  is an online educational site that includes over 5,000 courses (and over 130,000 videos) in popular fields like web design, web development, IT, education/instruction, media production, and business. Experts create and deliver all courses as well as provide supplemental materials like exercise files and relevant work samples.  This is a valuable subscription based resource that is available for free with your New York Public Library (NYPL) Card. You will need to create an account in order to track course progress, create playlists of potential coursework, and keep course notes.

Please note that you can only access course content through the New York Public Library's login page, and not by directly visiting the homepage.

Also note that New York Public Library's accounts are now accessible through mobile devices and apps.

For Mobile users:

1. Download the Lynda app from Google Play / App Store

2. Open the app

3. Select - Already a member?

4. From top of the screen select - Organization

5. Under Web Portal TYPE - or and select Log in

6. Use your library card credentials and select Log in
