JasperNet WIFI (wireless network) connectivity is provided to Jasper Hall and Overlook Manor residence halls via a compact network device installed in each room. The network device is capable of providing JasperNet WIFI wireless signal as well as additional wired network ports for enhanced connectivity. The device below is installed in all rooms of Jasper Hall and Overlook Manor (white box on the right):
Additional network ports (side of JasperNet WIFI device) are available to connect additional computers or network devices.
Steps
To ensure reliable connectivity, it is important not to disconnect the JasperNet WIFI device (white box right) from the red network port (left). The JasperNet WIFI device will only function when connected to the designated port on the Manhattan College network (red port shown in photo). The device will not work when connected to other campus ports or off-campus.
