FAQ: JasperNet Account

Q: Why is my account in the format of [firstintial+lastname+number] rather than [firstname.lastname] or [firstinitial+lastname+number+.student]?

A: We've adopted a new standard naming convention. Accounts that were created before the new naming convention will remain intact and will function as they should. All new accounts (faculty, administrators, staff, students, etc.) going forward will follow the new standard naming convention: [firstintial+lastname+number].

If you would like to set up an alias for your account, please send an email to its@manhattan.edu and we will forward your request to the appropriate group for processing.

Hint: This can only be done for employees.

Q: How long do I get to keep access to my account?

A: As a student, your account will be kept for one year from the last time you were registered for classes.

Hint: (This policy is subject to change.)

Q: If I work here and I am also a student, do I need two accounts?

A: People at Manhattan College only have one account associated with them. If you are a student and you begin to work here or vice versa, then your account will be updated accordingly.
