DLS 300 "Capalbo Room" Podium Guide

Startup

To start the Crestron Touch Unit, just select any button found on the display. This will automatically power on the system and display that selected monitor screen.

MULTIHEAD 1

Use this button to select the MULTIHEAD 1 connection. This will present a device connected to the MULTIHEAD 1 source to ALL three screens. This connection is labeled MULTIHEAD 1. This connection allows for a Mini Display port connection, Display port connection, HDMI connection, and a USB-C connection.

MULTIHEAD 2

Use this button to select the MULTIHEAD 2 connection. This will present a device connected to the MULTIHEAD 2 source to ALL three screens. This connection is labeled MULTIHEAD 2. This connection allows for a Mini Display port connection, Display port connection, HDMI connection, and a USB-C connection.

VGA

Use this button to select the VGA connection This will present a device connected to the VGA cable provided. 

Note: Carefully connect the VGA cable end to your laptop to prevent the pins from breaking. Audio jack must be used with VGA to present audio.

 

AIRPLAY

Select this to use the built in Kramer VIA system. The Kramer VIA allows you to display both audio and video of a computer or mobile device wirelessly. This connection also supports AirPlay. To connect using this system, please follow the Kramer VIA instructions found at the podium.

Hint: You may also connect the provided network cable for internet access. The audio jack will not work without the VGA cable. All connections other than VGA present audio and video. Also make sure that your iOS device is up to date to avoid any issues with VIA and AirPlay.

 

VIDEO CONF

Select this button to create or join a meeting using the built in Chromebox.

SYSTEM OFF

Please ensure that you select the SYSTEM OFF button when finished with the podium.

Hint: The projector may take up to 2 minutes to warm up before use and 5-10 minutes to cool down before turning on again.

 

SCREEN UP

Use this button to bring the projector screen up when you are done presenting.

SCREEN DOWN

Use this button to bring the projector screen down when you would like to present.

VOLUME

Use this dial to raise and lower the speaker volume.

Hint: The volume must also be raised on the video player (i.e. YouTube) and device (i.e. PC, tablet) you’re using. The volume control is usually at the bottom right corner of the Windows Desktop.

 

AUDIO MUTE

Use this button to mute the audio.

Hint: This may have been left on by the person using the projector before you and would need to be pressed again to enable the audio.

 

DISPLAY MUTE

Use this button to stop displaying an image through the projector temporarily. This is useful when you want to quickly go between using the whiteboard and the projector without having to turn it off.

Hint: This may have been left on by the person using the projector before you and would need to be pressed again to enable the display.

 

ADVANCED MODE

Use this button to access the menu that controls each individual screen in the room. 

The advanced section of the Crestron Touch Unit allows you to control what is projected on each individual screen in the room.

Projector Section

Selecting one of these sources will present that selected source to only the projector, without changing the other TVs. Audio will only be plaued from this section.

Left TV

Selecting one of these sources will present that selected source to only the Left TV, without changing the projector screen or Right TV.

Right TV

Selecting one of these sources will present that selected source to only the Right TV, without changing the projector screen or Left TV.

Hint: Choosing a different source for the Projector, Left TV, and Right TV sections will allow for a setup with multiple sources displayed on each screen.

Return

Pressing the Return button will bring you to the main screen of the touch Crestron unit which allows you to control all three screens at the same time.
