Campus Science DMZ

Manhattan College ITS maintains the campus ScienceDMZ, a part of the Manhattan College network dedicated to research and scientific activities. On the ScienceDMZ, campus researchers and educators can experience faster data transfer speeds and higher throughput - by up to 40% - compared to the standard campus wired and wireless network. Access to the ScienceDMZ is restricted to and tailored for access to external supercomputing resources via ACCESS, the Open Science Grid, and National Research Platform, scientific and research data transfers, and gaining/providing remote access to scientific instrumentation. Performance of the Science DMZ is actively monitored and measured with perfSONAR.
