About
The new Moodle 3.5 dashboard starts out with a set of default blocks. It is possible for students to add and modify Blocks in their Moodle Dashboard to customize their experience.
How Blocks Work
Blocks are a feature in Moodle that allows one to have relevant information displayed on their Moodle Dashboard. For example, the following image shows the default blocks that are found on one's Dashboard.

Add a Block
Step 1:
Select Customize this page to enter editing mode. This will allow you to drag and organize existing blocks you may have. You will see a gear icon appear at each block. This can be used to delete blocks that you do not need.

Step 2
Once Customize this page is enabled, select the Add a block which appears at the bottom of the left column.

Step 3
Once you have selected Add a block, select a block to add from list that appears.

Step 4
Once you have selected the type of block to add, the page will reload and the new block will be added.
